Best Climbing Gyms in Mississauga, Brampton, and the GTA West

Peel Region has four climbing gyms across Mississauga and Brampton. Here is what each one offers and how to choose between them.

Hub Climbing Mississauga

3636 Hawkestone Rd, Mississauga. $28 day pass.

The biggest gym in the region and one of the largest in Canada. 40,000 sq ft total facility with lead walls reaching 49 ft (the "Dragon" wall, built by digging 11 ft below grade to achieve the height). Also has top-rope, auto-belays, a speed wall, bouldering, and an "Adventure Hub" with augmented reality climbing for younger kids.

Hub requires its own lead certification. If you are lead-certified at another gym, you will need to retest here.

Best for: Families, groups with mixed skill levels, climbers who want every discipline in one visit.

Boulderz Climbing "The Cave"

1705 Argentia Rd, Mississauga. $23 day pass.

Bouldering-only with 75+ problems focused on overhung cave-style walls. This is the most advanced-leaning gym in the region. Campus boards, hangboards, and training equipment round out the space. The smallest Boulderz location at approximately 4,000 sq ft.

Hours are shorter than most gyms (2 to 10 PM weekdays, 10 AM to 6 PM weekends).

Best for: Intermediate to advanced boulderers who want steep, physical climbing.

Up The Bloc

1224 Dundas St E, Unit 28, Mississauga. $25 day pass.

11,000 sq ft of dedicated bouldering with World Cup-quality circuits. Kilter Board, MoonBoard, and a 6-lane campus board. Founded in 2017 by the creator of Friction Holds. Now shares ownership with Joe Rockhead's and Rock Oasis, so members can opt for multi-gym access across the network.

Best for: Serious boulderers focused on training and progression.

Toprock Climbing

284 Orenda Rd, Brampton. $23 day pass.

Brampton's first and only climbing gym. A community-focused, owner-operated facility with 14 ft bouldering walls and four 20 ft auto-belay walls. Weekly route resets. Youth programs for ages 4+. No top-rope or lead climbing.

Best for: Brampton residents, families with young kids, climbers who prefer a smaller community gym.
