Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

TorontoClimbs ("we", "our", "us") operates the website torontoclimbs.ca. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials through Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We do not access your Google password, contacts, or any other Google data.

When you use the app, we store: which gyms you mark as visited, your reviews (public), and your private notes. We also request your location with your permission to enable the "Closest to Me" sort. Your location is not stored on our servers.

How we use your data

Your data is used to provide the app features: tracking visited gyms, displaying reviews, and saving your notes. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties. We do not show ads.

Third-party services

We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Vercel for website hosting, Resend for transactional emails, and Google OAuth for social sign-in. Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not share your data beyond what is required for these services to function.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to save your theme preference (light or dark mode). Supabase stores authentication tokens in local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at hello@torontoclimbs.ca. You can delete individual reviews or notes directly in the app.
